H100 Fife continues to make progress

H100 Fife continues to progress at the project’s hydrogen production and storage site in Methil.

With the site now fully built, SGN and its partners are working through an extensive programme of testing and checks to make sure everything is working as expected. Power has now been connected to the site’s control and supporting electrical systems, marking an important milestone and allowing the next stages of work, including the start of hydrogen production.

As a highly complex project, completing the work needed to make the site fully operational is taking longer than expected and we now expect customer connections to begin later in 2027.

We remain extremely grateful for the continued support of the Buckhaven and Denbeath communities and look forward to sharing further updates as the project progresses.
